Why Khuvsgul is wild?
Huvsgul province is the northern part of Mongolia and south stretch of the Siberian taiga. It is dense pine and larch forest mountainous region. Here impossible to use land so the region preserved a long time wild ecosystem. The Khuvsgul lake formed by tectonic activity 2.5 million years ago, considered as an ancient lake. It is 136 km long, the widest point is 37 km and covers 2760 square kilometers.
The Khuvsgul region has a delicate ecosystem with its unique flora, fauna, snow peaked mountains, the different character of gentle forested hills, grassy steppe, bays and meandering rivers. The highest peak in the region, Monh-Saridag 3491 meters. Activities to do here is, hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, horse riding and visiting Reindeer people or Tsaatan ethnic group.
