Tour has a round-trip domestic flight. Driving through the wild, beautiful mountain range Hordil Sardig. Visit nomadic family and discover the reindeer herders “Tsaatan ethnic” people. We will ride a horse for 3 days in the Taiga area. Sleep in a teepee.
Day 1 Hordil Sardig mountain valley
Morning, driver will pick you up from your accommodation and transfer you to airport for domestic flight to Murun town. The local driver and guide will pick you up from airport and drive to Ulaan-Uul village in the mountain valley. Drive through Darhad valley. The most cold and the eco system of wild nature. (Fly 1,5 hours, Drive 4, 5 hours)
Day 2 Tsgaan nuur village
Tsagaan nuur village is the last driving village before riding a horse to remote Taiga. Tsagaan nuur means White lake, the town named by the lake. The lake is very pure, surrounded by mountains. Hike around the lake. Stay in wooden cottage.
Drive 100 km by mountainous rugged off-road (5-6 hours)
Day 3 Horse trek in taiga to drop off point.
In the morning visit horse herder nomadic family. Pack up tents, kitchen and all luggage on package horse. Prepare your luggage for the luggage horse. And ride a horse for 5-6 hours. Have picnic lunch and camping in a tent.
Day 4 Horse riding to summer camp.
Pack all luggage to horse. Continue to ride for 5-6 hours. On the way we will cross the river, riding in forest, in hills. There will be a nomadic families with horse, yaks, sheep and goat. The Norther part of Mongolia is famous of its white horses. Afternoon we will reach the destination of East Taiga. Where the reindeer herders live in a group, nearly 12-16 families in a group. There are only over 300 Tsaatan people in Mongolia. Visit Reindeer herder family. Stay in a teepee.
Day 5 Reindeer herder discovery
Full day stay in the summer place of herders and discover their culture. Ride a reindeer and hike in mountain free day. This area is rich with blueberries, berries, medicine plant, wild animals as brown bear, muse, wolf etc.
Day 6 Horse ride back to Tsagaan nuur
Today we will ride our horse directly to Tsagaan nuur village. Total riding is 6-7 hours. Thanks to previous 2 days horse riding experience, you will become good friends with your horse and you will ride well. Have a picnic lunch. Dinner in the cottage.
Day 7 Murun
Today we will drive back towards Murun town. It will be long drive (8-9 hours). After long drive you will relax in hotel.
Day 8 Fly to Ulaanbaatar
Morning, we will visit the Central Asian monumental deer stone complex. Fly to Ulaanbaatar. From UB airport, driver will pick you upand transfer you to your accommodation.
